Even in rural Iowa, the difference from 20 to 17 is 3 points. Seems as if the final score was an accurate portrayal of the difference between the 2 teams.

It was what it was....an easy win.

Point taken....the point I was trying to make (and did so poorly) is that UNI got up by 21 just minutes into the game and put it in cruise control. That lead to a run of a couple straight 3s for UNC that cut it to 9, UNI kicked it back into gear got the lead back to 20 and coasted again.

Had UNI attacked the whole game it could have been 30+...sorry for not explaining it better.

But since you've brought it up, CU got Longwood and Presbyterian as part of the Vegas tourney; we didn't book those stinkers ourself.

I don't believe it matter how they got on the schedule, they still count the same.

The end of WSU's bench is the best I've ever seen at WUS, but the Shox have shown 2 bad habits so far this year:

1) They tend to play to the level of the competition.
2) They tend to get complacent with big leads.

I doubt that's going to bite them in this game, but this game should check out if they still have those problems. Gotta get rid of both of those or they will get bit BIG TIME in league play.

My guess is WSU by 40. This team was not good at all. #15 could shoot, and somehow #5 found ways to do things, but everyone else was awful. This team also bused from Cedar Falls to Wichita. The Shockers will cruise no matter what. The difference between them winning by 40 and winning by 20 is whether or not they get lethargic after getting a huge early lead.

JUCO newcommers, 6-9, 250 lb CJ Lufile and 6-6 SG Nick Wiggins get some minutes and produce. CJ had 6 and 10. Nick had 14. To this point in the season they have been the 11th and 12th men in the rotation. If they start to "get it" WSU will be significantly better.

Starter Evan Wessel sat out with a broken finger. Early scored 16, but Hall had a poor game notching only 2 points and 2 boards.
