Hate to say it, but that stat is pretty damn amazing. It has to be at the top of the country in assist/to ratio. I have felt recently that Gibbs has hurt the Shox more than any other Jay. He makes everyone else better just by being in the floor. Even Dougie wouldn't be what he is without guys like Gibbs IMHO. For opposing fans that is a scary stat to see a player like Gibbs have.

Number 14 in total assist. And appears to be the best ratio in the country. Next best looks to be 5.25 compared to Gibbs 7.33.

I agree with this, however I also think it is a two way street. Dougie scores a lot because of Gibbs and Gibbs gets a lot of assists because of Dougie.

true. Its what makes Creighton such a good team. Alot of balance. Might not care of the comparison but they remind me a little of WSU last year. Much more than just 1 weapon. When Creighton plays defense they are pretty damn good...unfortunately lol.

That's right!

Actually, Gibbs effectively gives CU a second PG playing at SF. That creates a two-headed monster that alters defending passing lanes and requires a lot of shifting D when the offensive attack comes from multiple directions and points on the floor.

Now that I've started seeing the effects of having multiple players on the court able to perform like a PG, I've definitely learned to appreciate what that allows. Gibbs' abilities make CU a seldom-seen threat requiring significant adjustments from typical game-planning. I'm reminded of the Wildcat formation in FB. the D is required to prepare to defend multiple and significantly different looks.

Really? Maybe not those exact words but pretty close. Does "He is a mediocre role player" not sound familiar? You said it in the "Why is BJ ranked thread". Short memory.
