CU has always held all the power...and don't let certain morans in Wichita tell you any different.

Until we have an offer of some type, we don't have any power.

The fact that everyone knows if CU leaves the conference may be in some trouble, yet none of the other schools would cause that same "terror" lets you know where the power is....

I'm not anti-CU enough to admit that.

If/When Creighton leaves The Valley i'm definitely worried about how everything else will play out. I don't have a lot of confidence in Elgin getting a strong team to replace CU, or strong couple of teams if The Valley looks to expand beyond ten.

So if WSU was in the same spot there wouldn't be the same "fire drill"? I'm a WSU supporter and know if CU does leave it makes the Valley less desirable and weaker in all sports, but if WSU had the same opportunity I would think the same would be going on here.

I don't think that 2 Ncca trips in the last 20 years builds you as much capital.

Not nearly to the same extent....it's the same reason WSU on the move is not talked about here right now.

WSU doesn't have football, pretty SOL right now. Much like Creighton they aren't in an area of the country that has much for non-football conferences looking for school. Creighton has a much higher national image than WSU, and has that Jesuit label attached that is going to be their saving grace in the event of moves.

Maybe is WSU had more conference titles in the last 25 years than the 2 or 3 they have it'd be a bigger loss. Unfortunately for WSU that national prestige isn't quite what the fans want to think it is.

WSU leaving would be a shot to the conference, but not near as bad as CU

If we have that much power the conference certainly doesn't recognize it. We've been begging for the tourney to be in KC, but haven't been successful in getting that sucker moved....

I agree with you on all that you said. Creighton is in a better position because they are a Catholic school then anything else. I'm not trying to take anything away from Creighton as they have great fan support and a good run the last 20 years. I think in the last 5 to 10 years WSU is in the same group with Creighton as far as the pecking order goes in this conference with fan support, budget, and overall health of the entire atletic department. If WSU or Creighton were to leave this conference, it is a blow to the other schools that are left.

I'm all for the tourney to be put in KC. It would be totally a WSU and Creighton crowd more than it is in St. Louis.
