Good guess, you only missed it by 19 points.

Must've missed your guess?

Guess that's why they don't pay me to predict games.

Malcom Armstead deserves to be benched for the next game. Hall's effort goes wasted by much more selfish guard play that resulted in nada.

Who would start in Armstead 's place? Van Fleet?

Last 11 Vols points all came at the free throw line. UT went from down 59-58 to winning 69-60 without making a field goal:

This is the Wichita State I was afraid of. A bad offensive team except for Carl Hall (whose great game was lost), with mediocre to bad defense against any team that can shoot free-throws.

When you play us, you get 40 chances to make extra points. If get 40 points normally and shoot anything near average from the line, we won't be able to score enough points to win games. This team has a lot of improving to do. They still make horrible decisions, cannot score, and ruin their decent efforts on defense with fouls.

Unfortunately, that is a bad combination of characteristics in the MVC. The Shockers still have the potential to be a good team, but let's be honest: Any good team could beat them right now. We give teams chances to win by throwing the ball away, jacking up early 3s, and bailing people out on defense.

I think it was Coldbloooded who was razzing Creighton for only going 8 deep. He then went on and on about the Shockers tremendous depth.

In tonight's game, guess what? Only 7 shockers got double digit minutes. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=323482633

Orukpe is still limping. Wessel has a broken finger on his shooting hand. That's two starters either completely out or running at about 60% and coming off an injury.

Criticizing WSU for not playing lots of players for extended minutes right now is kinda like criticizing McDermott for not putting Jones on the floor.

Go troll a B1G board and criticize how UNL's opponents play against them.

Razzing Coldblooded back for all of his stuff is totally expected and acceptable. However, zinging him with the "depth" jab, after WSU was minus two starters was very poor and counterproductive on your part. Even more so when you do it in the hours after a WSU loss. You need to do better with that. I'm sure that's why you weren't on here for a few days after the loss at home to Boise State. Time and craft your zingers more carefully next time. Otherwise, you're going to be known as one of "those" posters.

We played a bad game tonight no doubt about it. Orukpe is the cornerstone of our defense and we really needed him tonight. He had his best game as a Shocker against Iowa --a dominating performance-- and then went down late in the game with a bad ankle sprain. No way was he going to be back in the swing of things tonight. Just look at how many points Tennessee got in the paint and you'll see how much we missed Orukpe... :(

This isn't a bad loss (since it was on the road) and our team fought really hard. Once EO gets going again we will be back to our formidable selves. 9-1 without EO for the last 3 games.. I can't complain.

On another note. Have you ever been eating bread and after a piece or two looked down and discovered mold on the next piece you were just about to eat? I have a 9-grain loaf of french bread (maybe three days old?) that I was going to eat with a delicious olive oil dip. Now I find myself trapped in a state of malaise... :|

Silly DoubleBJ...

9 players on our team are averaging 14 mins or more a game. The last 3 players on our team are averaging 8.3, 8.5, and 9.8. When we are healthy, which we obviously aren't right now, we legitimately go 12 deep.

See for yourself:
