Speculation. I believe it, but cannot confirm it yet. He had his hand is wrap at Red Robin's, and supposedly he said he fell on it in practice.

Hand wrapped = 4-6 weeks with a broken thumb? :?

I was just quoting the number I heard. Still waiting for confirmation. All I've heard is that he told a fan that he fell on this thumb in practice and broke it.

Hoping it is just a rumor. Sounds like a silly attention grab if it is, so I kind of doubt that it is totally made up.

Broken fingers happen and guys can play through it. On the other hand, broken thumbs suck. If this rumor is true, I hope he heals quickly.
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

Are you listening to what you just said? You admit it is all speculation, but you believe it regardless even though you can't conform it, nor were you a witness ----- are you like 16 years old?

So far the only source for this is a single poster on SN stating "Reliable info says..." That was posted around 10 PM Saturday.

No confirmation or denial from any source other than the single poster, who did not see Carl. The OP (original poster) lives in Denver. there's not even a referenced tweet about Carl's thumb.

There's an article in the local paper today (Sunday) that mentions Hall, but has no indication of any injury. Might have been written early Saturday, but so far this injury report is nothing more than internet rumor. Might be true. Might not be true.

Some posters seem to feel obligated to report unsubstantiated info if they think they can create some drama with it.

I think we need to wait for Coach Marshall or Suellentrop to confirm this. Haven't seen anything even remotely factual saying he was injured or would miss time. Just saying.

I like the obligation certain posters feel to insult me. The title of the thread is "Carl Hall may be out," and I've admitted several times that we don't have confirmation.

I believe that it would be silly to just make up. I'd be more inclined to believe it is just a hoax if the original poster was new to the site or had a history of stuff like this, but the poster has been SN for 6 years and hasn't done anything out of the ordinary till this.

I'm hoping this isn't true. I definitely know the internet isn't a great place for reliable information. But again, I don't see why a poster who started one other thread in 6 years would decide to start spreading lies about our players for information.

Confirmation. Timeline still in question, as he is seeing a doctor, but a fractured thumb generally takes 3-6 weeks to heal.

Hopefully the injury isn't serious and he is back before the Creighton and Illinois State games. We are going to need players to step up, but I have confidence Early, Lufile, and Orukpe are up to the challenge. In the end, it may even make us a better team when he gets back.

No, the title of the thread is "Carl Hall may be out 4-6 weeks with a broken thumb"

The qualifier is on the timeline, not the brokenness of the thumb. Turns out ShockerNet and you were right, so good work.

I hope this isn't true.

I love beating WSU, but I never want to see anyone injured.

Hall will have surgery tomorrow and will be out about 4 weeks.
