Oy vey. Are you that dense that I have to bold the pretty obvious inaccuracy of the specific post.

For a new poster, you sure have a fire lit under you pretty hard. I would take some time to cool off and simmer down so you are seeing and understanding everything you type.
USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll Conference Breakdown:

MVC: 1
WCC: 1
Atlantic Ten: 1
MWC: 1
Big East: 1

The Big East is Big Time.

I wasn't going to comment but........Taylor Swift, really? You fail, turn in your basketball fan card. The only time Taylor Swift should be brought up on a sports message board is when nude pictures or a porn featuring her is leaked or you score a BJ from her because she is sad about her new break up and have pictures to prove it.

I know this is a pretty meaningless nugget in this whole tantalizing discussion, but I did want to point out that this statement is inaccurate. People like to make fun of Coldblooded for blurting out phantom statistics. Well, you did the same thing. Check your facts again.

Wait? Me check my facts? Um. Okay. Here you go:
-U2 performed in Omaha on December 15, 2005: http://www.interference.com/8661-review ... c-15-2005/
-The Rolling Stones performed in Omaha January 29, 2006:http://www.iorr.org/tour05/omaha.htm
-Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha in June/July 2012: http://www.omaha.com/section/swimtrials
-Taylor Swift--the second largest tour in North America--plays Omaha March 13 & 14: http://taylorswift.com/events/

What say you now, shoxrox? Exactly where did I mislead or misrepresent? Funny enough, I don't expect an apology is forthcoming.

U2 has been to Wichita. The Rolling Stones have been to Wichita. Taylor Swift will be in Wichita in 2013.

You can have the Olympic Swimming Trials, though everyone knows that they are the highlight of the entire sports world.

What is it about Omahaha'ins that whenever they feel their personal ego pricked, they regurgitate every entertainment act that has ever come through their local municipal center? It's the GREAT NEBRASKAN INSECURITY COMPLEXTM I tell ya.. It's so mid-majorish... :|

Where's eomaha?

I don't know what the problem is, for the most part, everybody avoids your fishing hole. But every now and then, a new hatch of bluegills is born and they can't help but to bite on every hook in the water.

And you are doing it right! Ultra light gear, 2lb test and a crappe jig. Iowactor is obviously new to the fishing game and he can't help but bite the hook. With the lightweight equipment and your quality bait, you get to play him like a trophy marlin!

Good work!
There are three rules that I live by, never get less than 12 hours sleep, never gamble with a guy who has the same first name as a city and never get involved with a chick with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Stick to that and everything else is gravy!

Haha. O boy. Mea culpa. Mea culpa! I was trying to make the point that the Qwest/Centurylink was a good investment for the university/city because of who/what events it attracts. It was supposed to be a comparison between Centurylink and Koch specifically and not the two cities in general. But it did not read that way.
So, yes. I see now that U2 came through Wichita in 1983. The Rolling Stones at Cessna in 2006. And while you haven't seen those "Super Bowl-like" swimming trials (actually a quite lucrative event), I see that Taylor Swift (who is always relevant) is coming to your city's Intrust Arena--very, very nice.
Again, my apologies. My apologies. And I pray for world peace.

Hahah, iowactor, just give it a rest, most CU fan's (and MVC fans in general) know not to respond to any of Coldblooded's comments ever, just let him be....

well......if you don't want to be

Image

1. U2 has been to Wichita
2. Rolling Stones have been to Wichita more recently than Omaha and it the concert was at Cessna Stadium (campus of WSU)
3. Taylor Swift is coming to Wichita in 2013 (I only know this because a co-worker is trying to get tickets for his daughter).
4. Omaha might host olympic trials - WSU sends athletes to compete in the Olympic trials (5 in 2012).

Back on point, the drift of this subject I am seeing is starting to look like geography is working against CU.

Recent tweets from "sources" are either saying X, Butler and Dayton OR X, Butler and SLU. Guess time will tell...
