It ends well if the person doing the talking is not an idiot. Parker's comments were idiotic. He made racist, stereotypical comments about a player, based on race alone.
Give me another analogy.
It is ok to talk about sports in context with economics, religion, gender, social issues, race, the family, etc, etc, etc, as long as the sub topics are pertinent.
Again, I find it ironic that two basketball coaches took their basketball time to talk to a social issue. Turned out well in both cases. Same thing for other discussions.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.
