It'll be interesting for about 5 minutes.

I feel bad for every team that has to play us. I hope beyond belief that we don't some how beat Creighton or Wichita State or Illinois State and ruin the at large chances for the Valley.

Creighton has a long layoff before this game - 10 days is a lifetime. I wouldn't be surprised if they came out a bit flat.

My pick for game of the night is the DU/BU game. Early test for Geno's squad and the kind of game that DU has to win - if they don't Phelps may downgrade from D+ to F.

I don't see UE @ CU or UNI @ Wichita being really competitive, and SIU @ MSU is only interesting in the way that various MSU fans have told us we should ignore.

UNI @ WSU's 2nd team will probably be competitive. Would not be surprised if UNI wins that one.

The Valley hopes so as well, it would be best if MSU did not win any league games this year.

It should be a mandate that if you lose to a SWAC team by double digits you have to forfeit all 18 games in the Valley. Shame on you bears!

Seriously though somebody is going to lose to the bears. Maybe even two teams, as long as it's not against one of the at large hopefuls it shouldn't cause damage as it's in league play. I least I think thats how it works? Doesn't the overall conference RPI stay pretty much the same once league play starts?
