Indiana State vs. Miami (Florida) Christmas night in Hawaii

I just took a glance at INS' nonconference schedule. Losses to a very good New Mexico, solid team in SDSU, mediocre UCLA and a bad Morehead St. Good wins against a strong Miami and solid Ole Miss.

If it weren't for that bad loss at Morehead St., it would be conceivable that INS could play itself onto the bubble. Unfortunately, they would have to be almost perfect in conference to make up for that bad loss I think. Maybe they get lucky and land a big bracketbuster opponent, although there really aren't that many of those this year.

Interesting how a strong tourney can prop up the numbers. INS is basically the polar opposite of UNI who blew most of their opportunities, yet avoided a bad loss.

More head State is not a good loss, but I wouldn't be surprised if they end up having a comporable RPI to the 7th place MVC team.

Morehead State's RPI is 193 today, which would be 9th in the MVC, they're 6th in the 17th ranked OVC. At least they're a top 200 team I suppose, either way it won't help.

According to the guy on TV in the Haute, this is ISU's first win against the ACC since 1979. Not bad for a team I demoted to Thursday a month ago

I had the Aces sweeping them in the pre season polls, now I don't know if we can beat them at all.

To me, it is testament to what a top notch point guard can do. Odum's injuries last year caused the team to struggle. When he's healthy and playing well, he makes every single piece better. I'm a big fan.
