Worst team in the MVC (that is painful to say) vs another probable bottom tier team. Lots of interesting subplots. Barry's return. Lusk vs the team from his playing days. I'm sure both coach's will have their teams pumped up.

No doubt it will be ugly basketball but I'm hopeful for a close and somewhat entertaining game.

This one of the few games where we'll have a size advantage. It will be interesting to see if we can pound it inside and take advantage of that. But our 2 big men are pretty bad FT shooters so you would expect SIU to take a lot of fouls against them.

I'm conflicted here, I like Barry and want him to win but I also want MSU to win so their RPI isn't so horrible when Creighton plays them...

At this point, it doesn't really matter who wins for CU's RPI....and MSU's will be bad no matter what. The damage is done and we're in conference play now, only hope is if MSU win's their bracketbuster.

I just really like Barry. Always have. So I hope he takes SIU in there and whoops the crap out of them. Kind of a big "F'U" to MSU. Plus at this point, I would rather SIU have a bloated record than for MSU to start screwing things up in the conference right out of the gate LOL.

Normally, a game like this would be of zero interest to me. However, the Barry storyline is pretty compelling.

Like the previous poster, I've always liked Barry. I think he's good for the league. I hope he leads his team to victory and screams, "suck it" as he walks out of the arena.

I know, but perception wise, if god forbid CU lost to MSU, id rather it be to an MSU with a 250 RPI vs one with a 334 RPI or whatever it is. It would be bad either way.

We'd have to win a lot more than just one game to get our RPI back into the 200's
