Illinois State at Indiana State

Sycamores up 36-27 at the half. I'm a little surprised at this result so far. Indiana State has been coming up strong lately, but if the Redbirds want to hold the title of "best team to threaten Creighton for the hardware", they need to win tilts like these.

54-47 Sycamores lead with 10 to go. Redbirds have done a good job defensively on Arop (5 pts) but they are turning the ball over left and right. Some bad calls in this game as well.

Indiana St has looked impressive the last 4 or 5 games overall. Illinois St looks a step slow on defense. Maybe too long of a layoff? I like Arops game. Brown for Indiana St looking good also

Sycs survive 77-75. That is a huge win for the Sycs and makes the Redbirds game against Creighton on Wednesday enormous.

Indiana State looked pretty good and Illinois State looked pretty bad up until the final 90 seconds of the game. Sycamores nearly blew it but held on for the win.

Don't know what to think about the Redbirds. They could very well be 0-2 after a few days. I know you're supposed to go for 3 when you're down 2 on the road, but that was a deep shot. I would have taken my chances with a better looking 2 and overtime myself. The momentum had clearly switched to the Redbirds.

Great win Indiana St. Wow the matchup in Normal on Wednesday is going to be huge, particularly for Il St. not wanting to start the Valley 0-2. :dance:
