There is not one single meaningful statistical category in which Early outdoes McDermott.

Actually in conference play Early has a better points per game average

Early 22.5
Dougie 21.3

Early is very good but 39 points against a decent high school team really skews that average. When he scores 39 against the top teams in the conference we can start talking but doing anything against this SIU squad is really nothing that you need to brag about.

You got a point there, but Valleychamp needs to do some research if he is going to be so definate about something.

I couldn't care less if he wins POY in conference or not. The things I care about with regards to MVC hardware are 1) conference regular season title and 2) valley tournament title. Besides, I know who the best all around player in the league is...and it's not all that close frankly.

39 points is impressive. Great feat especially since the Valley's bottom feeders played there greatest games of the year against the Shocks.

Everyone seems to be glossing over a couple of things. It wasn't just a one game thing. He had 24 points in 24 minutes against Bradley, not to mention 20 + points in 5 games. Also, last night was the first time he got similar minutes to other top players in the conference.

Having said this, if we are talking about who will GET the award. It will be Dougies most likely.
