Are you serious? They have 2 losses and played the hardest part of their schedule already? They play OK state in non conference and then a bunch of other cupcakes.. I agree it's a bad loss, but with 2 losses I think it's a little early to call it a season.

I can't go with this being the end of MSU's chances for an at large, but 2 great opportunities to build their resume have resulted in 2 losses.

I'm aware that the Shox have done nothing on the court to demonstrate anything, but every other team has done something to demonstrate some weakness.

It's starting to look like the Shox need something like a 16-2 season in the Valley and then lose in St. Louis for the Valley to get more than one bid.

It's still really early, but so far the best showing by an Valley team is MSU's LOSS to Tennessee at Tennessee. We've got Valley teams losing home buy games against cupcakes.

I'm afraid the Valley's conference RPI is going to have the "teen" syllable somewhere in the ranking.

MSU has shot like complete s*** the last 2 games, I'm not saying they get an auto bid because they have looked terrible, but they played 3 away games in 5 days... They looked tired at the end of the game. They come back home and play 2 games on M/T. I still think WSU should win the conference, but MSU will be fine.. It was bad scheduling to have this kind of schedule so damn early in the season. I'm ready for January

I don't think he's saying the season is over. I think what he's saying is Missouri State has no ability to build an at-large resume through their non-conference play and their only hope is to win the MVC regular season (and probably the MVC tournament for post-season play).

Unless the MVC really finishes strong in November and does well in December, the MVC will not even be considered a mid-major conference. MVC is sitting at 19th right now.

This one surprises me a bit. It isn't just the loss, but the margin.

MSU's downfall last year was its road record. This result doesn't point to an improvement in that area.
