i cant believe believe how many CU fans try to minimize the impact of mcdermott on UNI. UNI would have probably won 4 straight titles and be in contention again this year. it was a complete killer for their program.

take away dougie and CU looks a lot like UNI...a lot of solid players but no stars or exceptional players.

Gibbs would also be at UNI instead of CU if Doug was here. Either way it is over and done with.

As for this game. UNI played very well again. They seemed to have turned a corner since the 2nd half of the Evansville game. We look like the 3rd best team in the conference right now. Some of this could be we have played a couple of bad teams at home recently. Drake is not a very good team at all. We had our way with them inside, and could drive to the hoop at will. I was very happy to see that we are taking care of business like we should against bad teams at home. Next up is Barry and the Ugly Dogs.
