Literally, the only stat Echenique beats Hall in is FG%. Hall wins in points, FT%, blocks, rebounds, steals, etc., etc.

GE is an outstanding defensive player with above average offense. However, I find it hard to make him the first team center when his own team won't play him in the crunch time of a big game.

The league is in a unique position right now having so many talented big men considerign it's typically a guard oriented league. IMO, Carmichael is the best of the centers with Hall being 2nd and Echenique 3rd. McDermott and Early are both excellent 4s to round out one of the best groups of front court players the league has seen in a long time.

They were down three. Most centers are not three point shooters.

Question: Should the all mvc team consist of the five best players or the best player at every position (aka guarantee there is one pg, sg, sf, pf, c) I prefer the former as the all mvc team is purely recognition and not a team built for any competition. As mentioned above, the team this year could legitimately consist of only front court players if that were the case.

No, he should be penalized.

With his history, I don't think he should be in discussion as an All-Valley player.

I know we aren't very good but Downing has been solid in conference play...obviously not saying 1st team but in the discussion for the others listed

17pts 5rbs 4ast per game in conference play

I had Downing as my 1st team after the first 4 games. He's still playing well, but just too many good players ahead of him and on better teams.
He is still on 2nd team.
