"Mid-year Coach of the Year" - McDermott vs. Marshall

We have passed the half-way point of our season so who is on track and who is not? So we have our two top teams tied with wins and losses. So who has the best Coach in the Nation? McDermott vs. Marshall. Let's see what the CBS Sports Writers/Analayst have to say:

All you need to know at this point is that McDermott is merely doing what was expected - 1st place. Marshall is coaching his pants off, picked 4th, beat Creighton and sitting in 1st place. No brainer, considering the adversity Marshall has overcome to sit even with McDermott.

Marshall has done wonders for WSU, and if any coach can take them to the final four, it will be him. I would suggest paying him more money as an insurance policy to retain his services but isn't he already making a base salary of 1.5 million? I think he would only leave WSU for an elite level BCS program.
