I wondered that too. If Hall makes it I doubt Early does.

Oh yes he can.

Not saying that he's currently on the list, but if he finishes Top 5 in scoring, cuts down on TO's as he has recently, continues to play great defense, and the Braves finish with at least 9 league wins, he should certainly be considered.
The thing I was worried about was his consistency, and he's definitely been consistently good all season.

That said, I believe Lemon Jr. and Simms-Edwards should be on 2nd team if season ended today, and believe they WILL be there when the season ends.

It is a sad day at the Knapp Center when Simons doesn't even get mentioned as a bench player. I might add that you can't really argue too much about him being left off. Phelps doesn't know how to get quality players their shots if the opposing coaches want to limit them.

Carmichael over Gibbs despite the Redbirds sucktitude. If the Redbirds finish last, he's second team and I'd have to look at the stats for my fifth player.

good point about Carmichael. It's tough for a player on a bottom 3rd team to make first team all-valley. Jason Perez and Mo Evans back in th day were worthy but never made it. Carmichael is a stud though.

Warren made it a couple seasons ago on the last place BU team. I believe he finised first in the league in scoring though.

As a die-hard Braves fan, I hate to admit it, but Carmichael deserved to be on 1st team at this point.

There is a long ways too go in the league but as of right now these are the players on each team that I see having a chance of making 1st, 2nd or HM.

Wichita- Early, Hall, Armstead
Creighton- McDermott, Gibbs, Echinque
Evansville- Ryan, Taylor
Indiana St.- Odum, Arop
UNI- James, Tuttle
Bradley- Lemon Jr., Simms-Edwards
Illinois State- Carmichael, Brown
Drake- Simmons
SIU- Daniels
MSU- Downing

Am I missing someone, probably

If Sonnen continues on his torrid shooting streak for most the season he could sneak in. He is on fire behind the arc right now
[Insert snappy comeback]

It's always interesting to see if one wants to include only MVC games, or all games, for All MVC

I admit I don't know the conference as well as I want this year so I'll just make the case I want and then allow it to be picked apart. I'm aware that all games are counted as this, but I like to look at conference games only because it's an "even" way to compare players. The difference in SOS/quality of play that players go against in OOC can be very wide.

I don't think UNI has any first teamers, but I think a couple could/should get second team or HM looks

Tuttle - HM...could play into second team.
Koch - HM...might be a pipe dream for me, but he is greatly undervalued.
James - 2nd team

Deon and Sonnen could play onto a team...but need some work. Sonnen's shooting numbers are just crazy this year - 57% from the arc (20-35) in conference play and 46% from 3 for the season. 28 assists and 18 steals to just 14 turnovers. 91% free throw shooting and 46% from the field....all while drawing the other teams best perimeter player for his 31mpg on the court.
