I know this is not a Valley related point to bring up, but does any one else think Florida Gulf Coast is getting the shaft on a 16 seed projection with a win over Miami?

They'll be on the 15 line once some of these dominant teams in lesser conferences get picked off in championship week. They're only this low because teams like Montana are boat-racing their entire conference while FGCU is in a big battle.

Not really. That loss is a non-factor. The loss that'll keep WSU from doing anything will be the SIU one.

After tonight, a lot of teams wetted the bed with bad losses. UNLV lost to a bad Fresno State team. Cincinnati lost to a terrible Providence team. Oh ya. Almost forgot. The No.5 team in the country lost to a team with an RPI of 223.

All of a sudden, the WSU loss to SIU doesn't seem so out of place.

If Tennessee can't keep its head above water and stay in the RPI Top 100 with that terrible league, that'll be a small issue for WSU.

Meanwhile, Creighton, not impressed with WSU losing a foothold in Kansas City, seems intent on blowing the Kansas City regional itself.

And I'll say this about ISU: if you told me they were gonna go 2-1 in the last 3, they picked the right 2 games to win.

Abso-freaking-lutely. They're putting themselves in prime position right now to make some memorable things happen.
[Insert snappy comeback]

Why do they have 12 seeds playing in the play in game. As opposed to having 8 16 seeds playing for the 4 final 16 seeds. This makes the 12 seeds have to win a game just to get to the field of 64, but 13, 14, 15 , and some 16 seeds are already in the field of 64?? Anyone know why they do it this way? Thanks.

You have two play-in games for the last four auto bid teams, You have two play-in games for the last four at large bids, it really has nothing to do with seeding, last year Iona and BYU played as 14 seeds, which i thought was wierd because that was saying the four 13 seeds were at large teams if they didnt win the conference tournament, but that is a whole no topic. Hopefully that answers your question!
