Unfortunate call but a huge step forward for this team. The improvement versus the last couple weeks was off the charts. Just need to keep their chins up and continue to work hard to keep improving.

Lil Mac is a hell of a basketball player for a frosh. He could have used a redshirt year to bulk up but there was no choice but to play him especially with Wragge out so far.

The Shox will need a little luck. UConn is young for sure, but the more I read about them they may be this year's Pitt. Pitt surprised people last year, UConn could do the same this year. Not sure how you begin to try and contain Walker. Focus too much on him and I'm sure they have other players that might be able to step up. I doubt they come in playing like they will just roll over the Shox. They have the motivation of wanting to play Michigan St as well. The Shox definately have a chance in this one, but I just haven't seen the Shox enough yet this year to really feel solid about this game. I am excited to see how they do. I will say if they lose today I think they win the next 2. Only problem is that will be against a D-II team and some crappy BCS team that won't help our resume much at all.

I guess the good thing is pretty much every team in the MVC has a bad loss already and no real great wins. No one can talk much crap if the Shox lose LOL.

Amazing game to be at. The building was juiced. Both teams played hard and shot the ball ridiculously well. It was tons of fun, except for the ending. I"m not sure my heart could have taken an OT period, but I would have chanced it.

As for the last shot, it was judgment call from the officials. There was no video replay in the game and both coaches knew it before hand. Nothing you can do. The big canadian oaf made it.

Antione Young looks like a different player this year. I hope he can continue to play at something close to this level.

I think I'm like a lot of MVC fans in that I always kind of liked McDermott. He seems like an affable guy. I can only imagine how badly he wanted to win that game. It's amazing that if you read or saw anythin said in the postgame he was gracious and didn't complain one bit about an obvious officiating error. Contrast that with another coach who dealt with a similar situation very differently not that long ago.
