What are they including for that area wise though?
I'm from NW Iowa...there isn't s*** up there to get close to 1 million people unless they are going for well over a hundred miles in every single direction.
The "source" that gives that information is a page that doesn't exist.
Population of counties that are actually in the Sioux Falls market....remember I grew up there, I'm fully aware of what counts of a "market for Sioux Falls" and what doesn't....are very very small. Lyon (right next to SD has a population of 11K...Sioux is the largest in NW Iowa that would be in the Sioux Falls market and it's under 34k.
The photo with the green circle is sioux falls media market actually gets viewership from/sioux falls matters too...not even close to one million people in that area...and I may be generous in some of it.
The red photo is likely what they are counting as the media market...and it's probably not big enough as between Sioux Falls metro and Sioux City tmetro combined the market coverage only about 380k people. NW Iowa, SW Minnesota, and NE Nebraska don't have 620K people in that area.
If that's the case Cedar Falls/Waterloo's market coverage is outlined in purple
and yet another "fail" from the dakota fans. When are they just going to finally give up, go away, and realize they are NOT going to be admitted to the MVC if Creighton does in fact, leave for the C-7
