Shockers have a chance to give the MVC some needed positive national publicity today in Maui. Win and a second round date with Michigan State looms. Lose and the Shockers get Chaminade.

Go Shocks!

The excitement is building for this game. It feels as important as the 2nd round Tennessee game back in '06.
WSU needs to be a leader here, not only for themselves, but for the conference too. A win here might just inspire other MVC teams.

ESPN colorguy says: "There are no thick ankles on this Wichita State team. They are thouroughbreds. Could be in any Big 6 conference. They pass the eye test."

Shox looking good early. Would be a nice win, plus the chance to play Michigan State. Keep doing work

The traditional #9 MVC team is losing to the projected #10 Big East team at the half.

uconn threw up some garbage and banked in a 3 to take a one point lead at the half...

Good first half though.

Why no JT Durly in the starting lineup? And why did Murry start at the point?

That was the lineup for the last game as well so it's no surprise. GM wanted Murry on Walker, their PG, anyway and he's more steady with the rock than Ragland or Williams.

As for JT, Marshall simply loves Aaron Ellis' work ethic on defense and his lack of turnovers. The parts are so interchangeable, it really doesn't matter.

The Shockers can win this game by making UConn score from the perimeter…..I don't believe they can score well enough from outside.

Impressed with the Shockers thus far…..a lot of athleticism.
