Can someone other than CU, WSU, or ISUblue win the MVC?

I have. They will win the league. Traditionally they play well on the road. I think Marshall is arrogant and pretty much a bad dude but he is a much better coach than any of the school's in contention. Lansing is pretty good but his team got completely exposed last night. MSU provided the blue print for the rest of the league how to attack them both defensively and offensively.

I'll just say this: yes someone other than WSU COULD win the league. I do in all honesty feel that WSU is more likely to win the conference than the USA was to win the gold medal in Olympic men's basketball against Spain.

We've known all season that the final 5 games (@ ISUr, @ ISUb, Detroit/Bracketbuster, UE, @ CU) would be our make or break stretch. We could be talking about being an NCAA 5 seed or talking about the NIT after that stretch, with everything in between possible.

There are three games that REALLY stick out there - at ISU-r, at ISU-b and at CU... if WSU wins those three, the Shockers are probably a lock for a 6 seed or better. Lose 2 out of those 3, and you're looking at a bubble team\NIT team (if they don't win it all in STL). Seems like WSU, CU and ISU-b are all in the same boat right now, whichever team gets it together is the big question... the Shockers look like they are getting their mojo back, but a tough road awaits... it's in their hands.

That might have been true yesterday, but not today. WSU owns their destiny. CU and ISUB don't. Now of course that might change this weekend.
