Can someone other than CU, WSU, or ISUblue win the MVC?

Discuss the MVC hoops season here.

Nope. Cu and ISUB need somebody else's help to win a outright championship since wsu has 1 game lead.

INS does not need help, if we win our last 4 MVC games the worst we can do is tie for an MVC championship. And I do believe we'd have the tiebreak, thus earning the #1 seed.

Easier said than done though.

Bingo. WSU is the only one that controls it's destiny for an outright championship.

No one is talking about outright championships.

All 3 teams control their own destiny for a Conference Championship.

Some of you guys are getting pretty silly, when you want to change it to OUTRIGHT Championships.

1 tie, all tie, for the title of Champions. At least that is how it works for the regular season folks.

ISUB has a 11.5% chance of running the table
UNI has 21.4% chance
CU has 44% chance

WSU is doomed with only a 6.5%

I'd rather have an outright championship personally.

And a No.1 seed might look more appealing to the committee's eyes when possibly assigning at-large bids. They are dumb human beings and probably don't divulge into the land of tiebreakers that much.

But thanks for the input, Redbird fan.

Not only are these last 4 games critical to conference seeding and the championship, but isn't it always said that the tournament committee looks at how a team does at the end of the season when looking at NCAA seeding and selection? Only the committee knows how much truth there is to that but one thing is certain, CU and Wichita State are not doing themselves any favors as of late. The verdict is still out on if the extreme parity we are witnessing in the NCAA right now is a good or bad thing for a conference like the MVC that has cannibalized itself but obviously has high quality teams.
[Insert snappy comeback]

Thank you Mr. Obvious.

It makes no difference to them. They are all AD's and conference commish's, so they know the routine. It's as meaningless to them as the fact that a coach is the highest paid non-bcs head coach.

If 1 seeds are meaningless, then why is everybody all over them on this site? Tell your players and coaches the No. 1 seed is meaningless.

People like to claim they know what the committee members are thinking, but you have no idea what actually happens.

Cpacmel, you used to be a pretty good poster but you've changed a bit. It seems like you don't convey the ISU-WSU love you used to have in the past. Did St Louis sour your taste even though you won the game last year?
