All four of these schools have one thing in common.
TREES, SHOX, JAYS all play The ACES again.
SHOX has lost already to The ACES this year.
TREES, last game of regular season, for both.
JAYS, tomorrow, at The FC.
da PANZER, swept, by The ACES ...for the second year in a row.
Am I saying The ACES can win the VALLEY?
Perhaps, not.
But, they will have an impact on the outcome, on the final MVC standings.

GO ACES
beat The JAYS

I would say mostly for bragging rights. That's really about it when it comes to this site. I can almost guaranttee you that players and coaches don't care about the seed, as much as they do the match-up.

People like to claim they know what the committee members are thinking, but you have no idea what actually happens.

And you do? Over the years, I have seen the actual data that the selection committee members use and I don't recall it ever saying anything about what seeds the teams were in their respective conference tournies.
I will also bet that guys like Ron Wellman and Mike Bobinski aren't going to give a MVC team any additional credit for being the 1, 2 or 3 seeds if they all tied for the regular season title.

Cpacmel, you used to be a pretty good poster but you've changed a bit. It seems like you don't convey the ISU-WSU love you used to have in the past. Did St Louis sour your taste even though you won the game last year?

I got no issues with the Shockers. Actually have met some fine folks that support WSU. And I don't think others have a problem with the way I post here Baller. If anything has changed, it's the fact I have little patience or tolerance for posters who can't make a point without making it personal (ie name calling). I think over the years I have also developed a pretty good eye to spot posters who only want to flame. Sound like anyone you might know?

And since you decided to call me out by name, why not just post under your old screenname? Why the deception?

I called you by your name because I was specifically addressing you. I didn't call you any names. You're trying to insinuate as such. Be a man. No need to cry about every little slight. It's making me think differently of you.

Regardless, I'm glad my team has a shot at a No.1 seed. We weren't even expected to this year, kinda like the opposite of some teams.

Oh good one there Baller...you really slamed the Jays with that one!

And last time I checked, we still have a good shot at a Championship....No one raises a banner that says "#1 seed" :Bam:

Think whatever you want of me.

And do you really want to go on record as saying you haven't addressed anyone here with name calling? Or are you going to cling with some sort of notion that saying "stop acting like a douche" is not meant as a personal attack? As if some sort of * should be there because you prefaced it by saying stop acting like a douche,.

I specifically addressed you about your screenname? Be a man and answer the question. Maybe then I will start think differently of you.

PantherSigEp wrote:Not only are these last 4 games critical to conference seeding and the championship, but isn't it always said that the tournament committee looks at how a team does at the end of the season when looking at NCAA seeding and selection? Only the committee knows how much truth there is to that but one thing is certain, CU and Wichita State are not doing themselves any favors as of late. The verdict is still out on if the extreme parity we are witnessing in the NCAA right now is a good or bad thing for a conference like the MVC that has cannibalized itself but obviously has high quality teams.

It's been said, yes. It just isn't true. At least, not anymore. The committees and the mock selection participants have said for the past several years they no longer look at performance over the last 10 games. The problem is, the talking heads spend years spouting this stuff but do very little to correct it once it's no longer accurate.

I wasn't trying to "slame" you. I was referring to the Illinois State guardkeeper.

But way to totally misinterpret yet another post.

Cpacmel, you're dragging more things off-topic than anything. If you really are that interested into divulging into the details of said posters, it's perhaps time to take it to PM.

Okay, I will certainly take that to PM.

Don't you think this probably should have been taken to PM as well. Or is my posting style not enough off-topic?
