The two remaining road games are the mandatory games to end all mandatory games. You have got to find 4-5 on the road in the Valley. Posting 2-7 would be catastrophic. InSU's season might be on the brink at Bradley this weekend.

We will not win at Bradley this weekend, no way, no how. This team just doesn't know how to win road games in the MVC yet. It appears they just go into road arenas (of lower MVC teams) and expect to be handed a victory, then when the other teams punch us in the mouth we panic and never recover. Bradley will win by 5-10 points Saturday. It won't be any different than all our other road games, save WSU, UNI.

You have quit on this team about fives this year haven't you? For real though, the bubble is very weak this year so dont give up yet. Via RPI forecast...at 21-10 were looking at an RPI of 46 and at 22-10 an RPI of 35. Even at 20-11 we would be around 50. Our non-conference SOS is going to keep our RPI in the noticeable category for the remainder of the year. Also, Lunardi still likes us and that guy knows his stuff. I'm just saying, don't jump ship (again) just yet. Your arms have to be tired from swimming back this many times. :D

Mock selection done by media members under guidance of the NCAA. WSU a 9 seed playing Belmont and Creighton a 12 seed playing Illinois. Indiana State not in the bracket.

I wouldn't put everything into the mock results, because the NCAA simulates championship week results (i.e., they'll actually select weird upsets to happen to try and throw the media for a loop). I suspect they projected Creighton to slide to give them a discussion.

That said, they put Belmont on the 8 line and MTSU on the 9 line. They're sending a message to the committee about mid-majors. I'm not worried.

This is Lunardi's latest (he still has 3 MVC teams in). Time to start rooting against the others on this list:

ON THE BUBBLE
Last Four In
Saint Mary's
Virginia
Indiana State
California

First Four Out
Arizona State
St. John's
Temple
Villanova

Next Four Out

I think they must have changed the mock bracket. They now show Indiana St in as a 13 seed. I looked earlier today and only saw Creighton and WSU. Obviously as a 13 seed, Indiana St has to be on the very edge of the right side of the bubble.

It's panic time for Indiana State. Only one more road game to try and correct their awful road trends, too.

For what it's worth, Lunardi still has them last 4 in.
Wouldn't trust that though, the only bracket of his that counts is the last one.

Mid-February is usually the beginning of the transformation time from Lunardi being an excellent listen and prognosticator to being a decent one to being mostly useless on Selection Sunday compared to everyone else, minus his inside info.

He's really excellent in January - he can parse through small sample sizes and sort through muddled situations (hi, A-10) better than just about everyone.

In February he's pretty good.

In March most of the amateur prognosticators catch up to his quality and Lunardi is average compared to them.

I've noticed he's gotten very mechanical lately with his S-curve. Too inflexible, IMO.

What is with the love for St. Mary's??? 2-3 top100 record and an RPI of 51. I've seen better teams be left out by of course, each year is a new set of problems.
