Now I remember why I stay away from mvcfans...valleytalk...mvcsports/forum....or whatever it will be called next week. The jealousy of our program is deafening. We know you all want us to lose, but you can thank us for selling tickets for you. So tonight was the "Redout" probably the most tickets sold all year. Creighton will have the "Whiteout" most tickets sold all year. UNI had a "Whiteout" most tickets sold all year...same story everywhere we go. I'm sure the announcers and refs were paid in advance to back WSU if Carmichael kicked anyone in the face/chest/balls wherever. I mean really it had to be an accident, when I jump I karate kick my leg straight out into someone's face and stare them down as I'm doing it.

Yes, that's what they teach at all the clinics these days. I'm going to start teaching my 2nd graders this at practice tomorrow night. You know, because it's cool and perfectly legal and all.

If its not above the shoulder, it's not reviewable for a flagrant 1, especially if its not called right away (after 5 seconds and another foul was called)

Yeah you're right, he should have gotten away with his illegal play. Put the blame where it belongs on your cheap ass player.

And BTW, it was a "red out" only because it was an ESPNU game. We also had more tickets sold at the CU and Bradley games. You do think awful highly of yourself tho! Thanks for the entertainment.

All possible flagrant fouls are reviewable and the coach can ask them to be reviewed. You can make up anything you want, but that doesn't make it a fact.

Not sure how anyone could really say that isn't a foul and a flagrant 1 at the least. This sort of reminds me of the SIU goal tend call that got things fired up a few weeks ago. Yes this was an interesting call and really affected the ending of this game but #1 what in the heck is Carmichael thinking going up that recklessly? And #2 you guys had a pretty sizable lead for a majority of this game. The team put itself in this position and the blame has to partially go to them as well. They played tough all night and then we get to the final minute where they looked careless on both ends. At least most Shocker fans (those who didn't hightail out of here) were able to admit that the team was not innocent

#11 shot the free throws, #32 was fouled. Should #32 have shot the free throws? Does Shock coach get to choose?

I just finished watching my recorded Illinois ST - Wichita ST game. That kick sure looked intentional (flagrant) to me. Carmichael already had possession of the ball and wasn't "flailing" as someone suggested...he looked at the WSU player and deliberately kicked out his leg in a "take that" sort of kick.

What I didn't understand is that there was a referee standing right there looking at the action and he did nothing. How did the review come about? Was Marshall able to get that reviewed? Would any coach be able to ask for a review of a play like that?

I think Carmichael should feel rotten because his kick cost his team the game.

WSU was down by as much as 15 or 16 points early in the game.

WSU battled back and kept it between 6 and 10 points for the all of the second half.

Carmichael KICKS Cotton in the chest. Probably grounds for a Flagrant 2, but officials miss it and let the Shockers go on to foul ISU before they review it.

They decide to call it only a flagrant 1, but ISU still gets to shoot their free throws first.

WSU is down by 5 with less than a min to go, but goes on to hit 2 clutch 3's to win the game.

Isu makes THIRTY free throws.

Yeah sure.... Shockers were bailed out by the refs.
