Wichita players and coaches start yapping their mouths right after the buzzer sounds so you should expect ISUR coaches/fans not to just sit there and take it. You won the game just shut up, show some class, and act like you've been there before.

Which, right or wrong, was very likely a response to what was being yelled and/or thrown at him. I have heard coins were being thrown at the WSU players on their way off the court. That was out-of-character for Hall, just as I believe the kick was out-of-character for Carmichael. I don't think he's a thug, he just made an error in judgement.

There is bad blood between the WSU coaching staff and Dana Ford. He gave Marshall a 2-year commitment when he joined the WSU staff. Ford didn't honor the commitment and it hasn't been forgotten. That might explain why certain coaches reacted differently to the situation.

I doubt any of us know the full story on who said or started what. About all we can know for sure is that a lot of things led up to whatever happened and some parties could have handled things much better.

The thing both fanbases should probably keep in mind is that if the roles were reversed, we'd all have likely reacted the same way. We all want our coaches, players and fans to act with class. But when things get tense and emotional, especially when there's additional context/history playing into it, I try to be more forgiving when the parties involved act out.

everyone loves to hate us, so its assumed that we started it. Im glad you all hate us, because that means we win and win alot. The 2 teams in the last few years that have won alot is Creighton and Wichita State, who happens to be the 2 most hated teams in the valley.

You people have got to be kidding me with all of this BS coming out of your keyboards. Every time an opposing Valley team has won in Koch Arena over the past 3 seasons several players from the opposing team have ran off the court waiving their arms celebrating and not one single time have I seen WSU fans throw anything at those players. Now, did Jans react properly, no, but there is a lot of bad blood between these programs with all of the things that have happened in the past few years with very intense games and coaching changes. Sure, it would have been nice if they would have ignored all of the yelling and throwing of objects but it was a very emotional finish to an already intense situation. You all know if the shoe were on the other foot you would be on here typing about how classless WSU fans are for throwing objects at the ISU players and coaches. If ISU fans want to blame someone for this just look directly to Carmichael and Hill who both basically gave WSU 8 points in the last 35 seconds. It was a crazy emotional game that was badly needed by both teams and I'm sure glad the Shockers pulled it out.
