Jays up 31-22 early in the second half. Pretty ugly game so far, not much flow but the Jays are playing solid defense.

They're not taking good care of the ball, unfortunately SIU couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat tonight.

Jays has a 37-31 lead with 13 minutes left.

CU just looks lost on offense right now, very sluggish with a lot of lazy turnovers and poor shot selection. The Jays just seem to relatively be stuck in a mid-season rut on offense. On the other hand the Jays' defense has been playing pretty well tonight - that's what has helped them to leading most of this game along with some poor shooting by SIU.

Creighton should still easily win by double digits, probably by close to 20 before it's over.

Honest q for jays fans: What is up with Echnenique the last few weeks? Is he worn down?

It seems like Gibbs and Doug bring it every game, but lately Artino has been the best post player for CU. GE was borderline dominant in games early this year, but recently a big game for him has meant going for 10 and 6 rather than 16 and 10. Is he nursing an injury?

ETA: I did some double checking to make sure I was not imagining things. Over the last 13 games (after January 5), GE has averaged 7.2 ppg. During the first 15 games he put up 11.4 ppg.

Great game from Artino I hope he can add about 20 lbs of muscle before next year. Also I know Yates made a silly play in the 1st half but come on no more playing time for the rest of the game?

his game has dropped off , no doubt, don't know what it is, but it is contagious :twisted:

Apparently Pollard messed up abouther FT situation in the game, per multiple tweets I saw.

SIU was fouled while in the bonus (not double bonus) on a non-shooting foul, and was awarded a 2nd FT after the first was missed. He's really struggling at the line this week!
