In Geoffrey Allen's plea bargain:

http://www.pantagraph.com/sports/college/basketball/men/5b6d71da-7d3e-11e2-bff4-001a4bcf887a.html

- 30 months probation
- $2000 "street value" fine (that would seem to be a pound +. If 10% of his sales were to LE, he was moving some product)
- court costs and fees

No basketball. No paid college education. Criminal record. Classy.

Irony.
USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll Conference Breakdown:

MVC: 1
WCC: 1
Atlantic Ten: 1
MWC: 1
Big East: 1

The Big East is Big Time.

Way to bring up this thread to the top of the page to start argument with ISUr fans again. ISU followed protocol and kicked him off the team, so they did what they were supposed to do. As far as the kid, he is no longer associated with the program so is no reflection on the current program. So at this point, what he did is a reflection on himself and not having anything to do with the ISU program since he is no longer part of it. Listen to Dan Muller's talks about instilling a new culture in his first year at the helm this year, doing the right thing, disciplining players and holding individuals accountable for their actions.

Tyler Brown was suspended a game back in January for conduct detrimental to the team and Johnny Hill sat out most of the game against Bradley in Peoria after a technical foul. There were also a few other minor situations with players being late to team functions and not being able to start in the next game or something like that. I'm sure minor negative actions happened in the past, but went by the wayside and no one knew about it because no one was held accountable/disciplined for these actions. That is changing though this year. People are being held accountable for not doing the right thing and that is what I call classy.

I mean, ya gotta expect a token bump when your fans create and fuel a thread called "Wichita State classless coach and players." $2,000 street value fine is pretty impressive.

Glass houses and all that.

Based on what we saw at the game and there were also tweets from a couple ISU basketball student managers like, "Wichita has absolutely zero class. They should be embarrassed." and "Smh Wichita st and their fans. #mvchooops #classless." so....But whatever, I mean it's been over a week now and at some point the arguing back and forth between the two fan bases and retaliation has to stop. I think as long as no more Wichita fans call Illinois State fans mentally retarded, bird brain cry babies, s*** heads, morons, trolls, etc. we'll be fine.

It's almost as if these insults are used to try to pump themselves up and make the opposition look bad when in reality they are used in place of any real arguments that were never articulated. I'm pretty sure no one in the ISU fanbase came after the WSU fanbase in that way, so it's really unnecessary to do so and raises the perception of classlessness. At this time, Geoffrey Allen has zero association with the Illinois State basketball program as he is no longer a part of the team and has no reflection on the ISU basketball program. In my opinion, at this point correlating Allen's actions to ISU is like talking about a random, ordinary WSU student's negative actions. Since that's all Allen is right now. Just your random ISU student.

Have the Redbirds firmed up their travel plans for March 7 as yet?

Just wondering.

Didn't realize that had already started this year?
