Just wondering.

We've got Arch Madness scoreboard over you though don't we? :bounce:

Didn't realize that had already started this year?

In case you forgot:
Arch Madness: Illinois State 65, Wichita State 64

ST. LOUIS -- Tyler Brown made two free throws with 6.4 seconds left and finished with 25 points as Illinois State upset Wichita State (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today, No. 15 AP) 65-64 in the semifinals of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament on Saturday.

Jackie Carmichael added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the fourth-seeded Redbirds (20-12), who rallied from 13 points down early in the second half. Illinois State, which lost at home to the Shockers by 13 points on Feb. 22, snapped a 24-game losing streak against ranked teams, dating to 1987. The Redbirds head into the tournament championship game on Sunday seeking their first NCAA tournament berth since 1998.

I have not forgotten. It is irrelevant.

I don't blame you for enjoying your day. It feels good.

Well look in this thread, for one. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2878 . Starting with the sixth page of the thread until the end. You're welcome in advance.

it was a conspiracy that the Shockers won

Tekele Cotton ran into Jackie Carmichael's foot and flopped to the ground. So much for a kick. More like a flop for ramming into Carmichael's foot and flopping to the ground.

Marshall has been admitted to the class of whiners

Difference in this case is Marshall and his team had prepared for this move ahead of time having viewed it on tape. (In regards to Cotton being kicked by Carmichael)

Name-calling and classlessness with holes in arguments isn't exactly the best practice. But that doesn't surprise me that the WSU fanbase has this attitude because it is exhibited by the coaching staff and trickled down

maybe one of the reasons Ford left WSU for ISU was to join a classier program and staff.

So yes, I called you names in regards to all of that. Actually, I gave you the benefit of the doubt in assuming that things you were saying were so pathetically unintelligent that you had to be trolling us. If you were not trolling, then I'm concerned for you.

No one was saying those things about Illinois State FANS, because that is implying a generalization across a fanboard. I absolutely do not think those things about the fans of Illinois State. I think those about you as an individual.

This isn't a WSU vs IlSt thing. Literally no one on this forum agrees with you. You are wrong, and your arguments are ludicrous, insulting, and make your entire university look bad.

You call others names, and then you complain about name-calling. You make classless statements and then accuse others of being classless. You go out of your way to be antagonistic in your replies and then say things like "Much more civil and contributes to a much more positive atmosphere. Also, leads to a much more positive representation of your fanbase and school, as well as leading to a higher level of respect and much more classy."

And of course you say things like "You shockers fans always have to have the last word. grow up." while replying to every single post and refusing to not get the last word yourself.

You are a hypocrite and a troll.

I thought ILL St. was left for dead at the beginning of the season. I thought Mullen was going to be one and done as a coach. They have completely turned their season around and are dangerous entering St. Louis. As much as i hate the redbirds, congrats on pulling your stuff together at the right time and yes you guys deserve some love on this board.

They currently have a three game losing streak going into St. Louis.

Not sure that's what I'd call turning the season around and dangerous entering St. Louis. They were a couple weeks ago. They now need to turn the season around AGAIN to have done so at the right time. If anything, their program is collapsing at the wrong time.

The reason i say they are dangerous is the three games they lost...are games the whole valley(dont pick me apart here) would have trouble winning. I understand USU isnt what they used to be, but that is a tough place to go into and get a win. Everyone saw the Wichita game and knows that could have went either way(I dont want to start a fight there). They did get there ass handed to them in Evansville but i think the only teams to beat UE at UE are Murray and Creighton. I don't think this a "collapse" at all. As a Bradley fan i would rather play MSU, Drake, SIU, ISUb, UE, UNI, or CU in St. Louis than ISUr. Just my opinion.

As people have said before, there's no point arguing with WSU fans because they outnumber everyone else. They will all just pile on more s*** until you decide to cut your losses and stop talking to them. There's no point. As for ISU's lack of representation on this forum, you have to look at it from a realistic point of view. ISU has never been known for its fanbase. Partially because, if you think about it, a good amount of ISU students are not glad to be here. To be honest, a lot of us are here because we can't afford to go to U of I and chose the next best option. And that simple fact that it's a lot of students' second choice leads to a lack of school pride. Although, there is a great deal of school pride as of late because of the success of the football program and the hype that was surrounding the basketball program this season. Also, the talk of moving to a FBS conference has also added to the interest and those rumors are backed up by all the upgrades that are being made to all of our athletic facilities.

Actually that was me that said that. And that was all I had to say in that thread. All the facts about this whole thing have been skewed every which way to benefit one side or the other. It just needs to stop.

I will preface this by saying what does it matter anymore. Over a week has gone by. It's just whatever at this point, at some point a lot of time has just passed by and that's it. But it's not true that no one agrees. There were posters on the Redbird board that said it looks like on the tape that Cotton took it like a charge. And there are previous photos of Carmichael kicking his legs out on rebounds. So with Marshall being the great coach he is, it would not surprise me if he and the players knew this going in from photos and tape. So it's not that ludicrous, really. It's really a rational thought based on logical thinking and IMO, it's certainly a possibility. But what does it matter after over a week? There is no way to know really what happened. In my opinion, using the word "classlessness" isn't name-calling and it used based on actual arguments whereas mentally retarded, bird brain cry babies, s*** heads, morons, trolls are not and said unsubstantiated. Also, I don't put a whole lot of merit in you saying that I'm making the university look bad.

Now if someone from my own school says that, then fine. That's a different story, but that hasn't happened. As for shoxrox's comments, I tend to disagree with the statement that Jackie's kick was classless because he is a stand up individual that so happens to kick his legs out regularly on rebounds and in one isolated incident, something went wrong. In addition, there were no coins thrown. I was in the student section and there were items thrown by the student section on the floor (which I didn't engage in by the way) going nowhere near the Wichita State team. This occurred on the opposite side of the floor from WSU and most of the objects hit the ground in an area where there was nobody around. What seems to be lost in all this is a water bottle actually hit ISU's Zeke Upshaw in the head. So an object an ISU fan threw hit one of its own players.

Also, for what it's worth I do think it was very classless to create a thread about another fanbase, their team and their coaches and how classless they are. I do not approve of such hypocrisy.

I saw one person make a comment like that, which I guess in your mind constitutes all "Wichita fans". I also saw another Shocker poster tell him to just let it go...sage advice for you I might add.

I am pretty sure WSU beat UE at UE also.
