Wichita State at Creighton--MVC Title

Both WSU and CU deserve at large bids unless they lose a 1st round game in tourney. UE needs to win it all for Colt Ryan, who deserves a shot at the big dance more than just about anybody.

I have a different view. If the TEAM can win 3 games in St Louis, then the TEAM has earned their chance to dance. If the TEAM cannot win 3 games in St Louis, Colt Ryan played big time D1 basketball, earned a college degree, and will be an Ace legend forever.

But let's move this thread back to a discussion about the Jays and the Shockers. My eyeball test says the Jays will win on Saturday.

I think we can all agree that the TEAM didn't win it. It was all Colt Ryan out there tonight. He definitely deserves something.

WSU seems to be a team that plays like sh*t when they have things practically handed to them. All they needed was a home win on Senior Night over Evansville to clinch a share of the Valley title. Now, they have their backs against the wall going to a place the home team hasn't beat them in 3 years. It could be just what feeds them.

CU is feeling good about themselves now. Did they right the ship and looking full steam ahead?

I'm thinking it's either gonna be a very close game or CU runs away with it quickly.


Considering the expectations going into the year, this team has excelled pretty well thus far. A 2nd place finish would be disappointing but they definitely would still have overachieved. If you would have told me we were going to tally up 24 wins going into the regular season finale at the beginning of the year, I would have said yes please, with cherries on top.

How often does the valley regular season come down to two teams playing each other the last game of the year? Couldn't ask for anything better. Both teams have unfortunately played their way on/as close as you possibly could be to the bubble, which makes the game even more interesting. Can't Wait.

Who knows what to expect in this one. Both teams have very high ceilings. Both teams are also capable of terrible, terrible play.

Looking forward to it regardless. May this come down to anything but a last second call.

Winner gets something more valuable than a MVC title: a likely at-large bid.

I think the loser will have to win the tournament to get in.

I think the loser would still get in IF, they make it to the Finals in St. Louis. At least in the case of WSU, i believe this to be the case. As for Creighton, you might be right. Reason being, a loss on the road against Creighton will not hurt you, it just wont help. But Creighton, simply cause its a home game, a loss would hurt them just a bit.
