ESPN says Creighton to C7 in 2014

Lengthy article by Brett McMurphy, Andy Katz, and Dana Oneil at espn. One important, though short sentence near the bottom indicates Creighton will join the C7 in 2014.

While competing with as few as nine members in 2013-14, the Catholic 7 schools are expected to add Creighton, Dayton and St. Louis in 2014 for a 12-team league.

Just got done reading that article. . . Not for sure what will happen with the rest of the Valley, don't think we can stay at 9 teams.

Those 16 straight years of winning at least 10 conference games or more are about to come to an end.

I have a feeling this is where Creighton could turn into a DePaul rather quickly. Have fun. Hope it's worth it.

And by the way, in the article it says it'll be a 13-team league, not 12. Does that make any sort of logical sense? Are they sure all of those teams are going?

Actually, now the text reflects they will join in the Fall with SLU and Dayton to join in 2014.

A lot of working theories in play.

Actually, I could see either Creighton in '13...or remember, if they want to get creative, they can use Notre Dame in the C7 in '13 before they go to the ACC in '14. That way the C7 get their 10 immediately and give Creighton (or whoever #10 is) an extra year to get ready).
