Maybe he meant since the loss was at home to Evansville, it automatically is lumped in as "funk" status.

I think this game will be somewhat dictated by referee style. If they let the teams play, advantage Shockers as they will play rough in the paint grabbing boards. If they call it tight and not allow bumping and hand checks, advantage Creighton.

I agree, it looks very lopsided. Not to take away from your point that Colt was obviously very important to the win, but it is baffling that WSU lost the game. WSU took 7 more shots, 5 more threes, 6 more free throws, had 11 more O rebounds, 13 more rebounds overall, 2 fewer assists, 7 more steals, 3 more blocks, 1 more turnover and 1 less foul... And lost. If I hadn't seen the score and looked only at the box I would have said that WSU won the game. I know that shooting percentage is lost in the numbers I looked at, but I would feel very fortunate as an Aces fan.

I don't think many WSU fans understand what happened in that game. Evansville shoots amazing and goes out to a big lead. WSU comes back strong, Aces go cold, and WSU surges out to the lead. And then WSU scores 3 points in the final EIGHT minutes. Only two points were scored by either team in the last four minutes. If you only watched the end of the game, I apologize ... that was a very excited game that ended with a whimper. I really don't know what happened on either side. No one could score. It was a pathetic end to a really good game from both teams.

WSU made 1 of 13 shots in the final 8 minutes. 1 of 4 FTs. Going into the last 8 minutes, I didn't think there was any way they could lose that game ... they were leading nearly every stat, most pretty handily. They went absolutely ice cold at the end.

People can call it whatever they want, but there aren't many teams in the country that can win a game with 3 points in the final 8 minutes.

WSU played pretty poorly against ISUr though. If not for Carmichael's Jackie Chan impression they probably lose that game. Not sure they have played well at all lately outside of the BB game?

DJs Dugout- on the same corner of the CLINK. Sports bar with about 1,000 tvs. Typical bar food, good beer prices. Good place to go before the game, get there early.

Goodnights Pizza- I'm no fan of this place, but people like it. I think its over priced.

Old Mattress Factory- Similar to DJs, less TVs, better food. It gets packed, get there early.

about 20 other places to grab food in the old market. longer walk, no true sports place.

if you are willing to pay for parking, you won't have trouble finding a spot within close walking distance.

I will add in my personal favorite -

The Blatt Beer and Table - great selection of tap beers, really good food, and a fun atmosphere... its located just across the street from TD Ameritrade Park.

If you are also willing to hike it a bit, you can usually find off street parking in downtown - outside of the CU game there isn't much else going on in Downtown Omaha in the early afternoon on a Saturday. Still parking will be at a premium within 6 blocks or so of the Century Link Center.

Looking forward to what hopefully will be an instant classic, good luck to your Shockers and enjoy the trip - just hope the Jays can ruin your fun "just a little bit" and get the W, should be as good as an atmosphere as ever at the C-Link (which still probably won't nearly be Koch-like, LOL).

Highway 81 is closed from the nebraska border to I-80, and i just received word that all other highways in southern nebraska are closed. I did some research on the Blizzard and the only way into Nebraska is to go out to Denver and then up to cheyenne and across South Dakota and to come into Omaha from the north. Its getting really icy all across southern nebraska and into Iowa and Missouri. Be careful.
