I was going to suggest we implement a minimum punctuation requirement for posting here. LakesBison's and Deanthony Bowden's posts are painful to read. I held back because I figured Ace Dad would deem it racist or elitist.

The thing is my Illinois State is looking at making a move to the FBS level, if I'am not mistaken UNI is looking at that as well, throw in NDSU, and a Youngstown with Tulsa is already being there, and walla.

If ISUr was serious about a move to FBS they wouldn't be downscaling the Hancock renovation. Now projected to hold around 13,000.

I don't doubt that but if you can't commit to an additional 2000 seats now there is no way you can do 7000 later. By adjusting plans I took it as ISUt waiving the white flag. MSU stadium plans are released on Tuesday and I guarantee you they won't be doing a renovation if the intent isn't to position the team for a move.

The majority of the departing Big East Catholic 7 schools would love to average that attendance. And this is exactly why Creighton is the favorite to be the 10th team when the league is formed with Xavier and Butler. The new Big East wants basketball-centric schools where the facilities and fan base provide a basketball atmosphere that rivals any other school in the country. Flying to Omaha is a connection through Chicago for a number of schools. Providence, Seton Hall, DePaul and St. John's should and likely will welcome Creighton. Marquette is already on board. Georgetown and Villanova shouldn't have issues, either.

No FBS conference wants anything to do with getting to freaking Fargo....

I've been to Fargo multiple times for business....I understand why ND has the depression and suicide rates that they do.

You CAN'T CREATE A CONFERENCE....NOR CAN A CONFERENCE MOVE UP AS A WHOLE.... LITERALLY NOTHING LAKES HAS SAID MAKES SENSE....OR IS EVEN POSSIBLE.

If the schools want to move up, that's great. It's going to have to be individually.

There isn't an FBS conference that is going to take UNI, ISUR, YSU, and NDSU as a package....

There isn't a cofnerence that is going to take more than 2 FCS teams....

Hell, I bet there isn't a conference that takes 2 of them. The best bet for both ISUr and UNI is to try to get one to take 2 of us...and hope it's the MAC.

For the MVC, UNI is the closest team to NDSU, and that distance is still more than that of UNI's longest trip, sans Evansville, WSU, and MSU.....all of which are less than 100 miles further than Fargo. All of them already in the conference and have been for a long time.
