All of us in the STL area feel the same about the rest of the state. We are very glad we are unlike the rest of the state.

You'd be wrong. But cool. Different strokes for different folks.

Chicago is a nonstarter. St Louis works because although it is a long drive for WSU and CU fans, if your team is playing in a later game, it is possible to leave early in the morning and get there in time. You can also make it back home late that night after the Championship game. Chicago would add at least another hotel night or two or possibly the cost of a flight. Considering that WSU would be the fanbase sending the most fans to St Louis, do you want to risk WSU fans deciding that is too much to make the trip?

St Louis is not a bad drive for the schools that would benefit from moving it to Chicago. I don't see Chicago putting together enough better of a package to make it worth alienating WSU fans.

Oh, wait a minute, Elgin would be making this decision. . .

Valley headquarters is just a few blocks away from the Scottrade Center, so I'm sure the convenience factor of having the tournament in your backyard is nice for Elgin and crew. And as someone mentioned before, STL is guaranteed through 2016. There would have to be a legitimate financial incentive for them to root up and move the tourney out of STL.

Unless you are going to play the conference tourney in San Diego...you can say that about any midwestern city this time of year.

The official cost of having the tourney in Chicago would probably double what it costs in St. Louis. The unofficial and under the table money it might cost to do any type of business may be even more. I doubt Rahm and his goons see the MVC as a significant revenue stream for the city, so I doubt they'd waive or even assist with the mountains of permits, paperwork, and other bureaucracy it would take to get it done. The Big 10 Tournament sells out every round easily. The MVC - not so much. Saying it's a non-starter is an understatement.

Add Belmont and keep it in St. Louis or better yet - move it to Nashville. The word 'madness' would be taken to a whole new level.

Since UE has been in the conference, it has never been like that. I never remember any snow ever.
