basically, every MVC school would need to find a way to get their olympic sports teams to CANADA

It would be nigh impossible to get an FBS team into our conference. It would require them to have a football-only membership somewhere.

That said, you guys are looking in the wrong direction for opportunity. Not Tulsa. Akron, Kent, Ohio, and some of that talent in the MAC East who have to be frustrated that they can't ever get at-large bids.

I like this suggestion, If Dayton talks its way into the C-7, we should take a solid look at Akron. I like this team above all others mentioned so far.

It's just a hunch, but I think so. MAC is much more willing to work with partial memberships than most.

and from espn tonight, now if they would only announce the finalized details.

The so-called Catholic 7, which is expected to add at least two more members before it begins competition in the 2013-14 school year, is made up of Georgetown, St. John's, Villanova, Seton Hall, Providence, Marquette and DePaul. Butler, Xavier and Creighton also will join the league, which will begin play in 2013, sources told McMurphy.
