I wish I coulda been there. Supposedly right after the starting lineups and when wichita went into their last huddle before tip-off, the PA played a little sound clip from the Wizard of Ozz , when Dorothy said to her dog "i dont think were in kansas anymore" in a frightened voice and the crowd erupted. I have a ? for any Jays fans at the game. Is this true and did it really get that loud? Im jealous i couldnt be there but i guess the pregame was pretty cool.

Ya, the crowd was pretty into it to start the game. If I remember correctly, the Wizard of Oz clip played right before one of the introduction videos but I could be wrong. It got pretty loud from time to time but it would always seem to quiet down. Part of this might be because of the extremely long T.V. time outs, which are known for taking all the momentum out of crowds. The atmosphere reminded me more of an NBA atmosphere than the type you would see at Koch. While I will always favor the atmosphere at Koch it was pretty awesome to see 18,000+ at the game. Also the seats were very comfortable . I didn't have any trouble with the Creighton fans but that might be because I tried to blend in with the Blue Jays while walking around the city.

I would like to thank the two Creighton fans that offered advice as to where to eat. My friends and I ended up eating at DJ's Dugout. It was good and also VERY packed!!!

Right before the tip, just before the second buzzer to signal they were back from t.v., they played the audio from Wizard of Oz, when Dorothy says: "Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas any more." - or something like that. The played the video and audio from that part of Wizard of Oz during one of the t.v. timeouts later in the second half.

Capper of the night I think for all Jays fans who regularly attend games is that Saturday was dancing grandma's 90th birthday. As sure as there is a God in heaven, no way was it not going to be a special day. As soon as she went up on the big screen and the young lady with her held up the sign that it was her 90th birthday, I knew the game would not end any other way.

The thread got moved because of serious family issues? That doesn't make any sense. Sounds like you are just trying to make someone for guilty even though they did nothing wrong.

I'm just reporting what he said on shockernet. If he feels guilty, not my problem. I have no idea about the thread move.
