All year I've waited for Illinois State to play to our capabilities and you know what, I think we did. Too much was said about our strong MVC tourney and people overlooked the fact that were only above average last year. Then we lost our coach and point guard and people expected even more for some reason. Total disconnect between expectation and reality I regret to say.

Illinois State will not win Arch Madness. It's nice to be thought of highly by the others schools but this team was 8-10 for a reason and should be playing tomorrow night.

Yeah, the Illinois State-Northern Iowa game on Friday should be interesting but I'm kind of done waiting for ISU to get its act together.
I actually think UNI is the team most capable of stealing a bid, though they've also lacked consistency.
As for my Salukis, I like the Mo State matchup on Thursday, though I'm a little nervous that most everyone seems to think it's going to be a W. There are no gimmies for a team with a 6-1 power forward.
Should be a blast, like always!

UNI has been incredibly consistent for the past month. Our two losses were the times we didn't have AJ (2nd half v Denver and the whole game at SIU).

I agree, if CU or WSU don't win the tournament, it will be UNI...

I actually think ISUred is the type of team that will play good now. IMO once they lost those 6 conference games, they lacked motivation, maybe thinking whats the point we're not getting an at large bid no-matter what. But they play hard when the game is big to them (like @ CU and against WSU). Finally they can play games that really actually mean something. And they will play great! ISUred is getting to the finals. If they will win? idk. Red is using that reverse psychology stuff. Every ISUred fan knows this team will play well in St. Louis.

Teams with a chance to win the whole thing: Creighton, WSU, UNI, ISUred, IndySt.
IMO Evansville has no chance to win the whole tournament, nor do Drake, SIU, MSU, or Bradley.

UNI has the best conference record since Feb 1st....

Maybe you will prove me wrong, but I can't see it. I think you need many weapons to win a 3/4 game tournament. To me, Evansville doesn't have enough. If colt goes cold for one game, they will be in trouble. WSU, CU, UNI, Illinois State all have many weapons. And IndySt, i threw them in there as having a chance simply cause at times that team has looked unstoppable. Evansville IMO has over-achieved and just doesn't have enough fire-power or depth to win the whole tournament.

Don't worry Acedad, according to him, we were going to finish 8th this year because we have no one any good other than Colt. Somehow, I think we'll show up anyway.
