Actually, next year we only need 1 extra right now. There will be two Bracketbuster return games next year, unless they call the return games off.

I think all the bracketbuster return games are a go. Now whether this years' games will be returned next year or not? I don't know. INS has to go to Iona for our return game. Our home game with Butler (from 2012 bracketbsuters) was pushed to the 2014-2015 season as Butler had scheduling conflicts. INS agreed to do this as long as Butler agreed to an additional home and home series with INS. So essentially it has turned in to a 2 for 1 for INS. Butler comes to INS twice (14-15 & 16-17 seasons), INS goes to Butler once (15-16 season).

Staying at 9 teams would be tough for INS scheduling, we can't spend the big bucks to get better teams to come play in TH. I know we are already playing in a tourney in 2013-2014 (great alaskan shootout maybe?). So I hope Elgin immediately announces a new 10th team as soon as CU makes their announcement.

now back on topic, surprised there hasn't been an announcement yet today

If you get to play Iowa in Alaska, please beat the living piss out of them. We don't get them next year.

well, seeing how we've generally played well in these tourneys the past couple seasons, we'll probably play and defeat Iowa, then tank the 2nd half of the MVC season.

I am sure this has been answered elsewhere, but let's say Creighton goes on a run and wins 2-4 games in this years' NCAA tourney. Does the MVC keep that money or does it go with CU to the new Big East??

It stays here as one last F you to sCUM on their way out.

We need a little perspective here. If the Valley survived Louisville, Memphis and Cincinnati leaving it will darn sure survive Creighton leaving. The Valley has been one of the most stable conferences in the country. Relax.

Which, to flat broke UNI, is the most important thing. Consider it a final payoff for Doug.

If Creighton leaves, there may be some struggles, but money won't be one of them.
