An Open Letter To WSU and ISU Head Basketball Coaches

Postby Ace Dad » March 8th, 2013, 11:28 pm

Dear Coaches:

As an Evansville basketball fan who made reservations for Friday and Saturday night and now has nothing else to do but stick my nose into your business, may I offer a recommendation?

Please consider meeting at half-court before Saturday's game with both your staffs and shaking hands. This gesture would send a signal that all ill-will is gone so the players can just focus on basketball.

Respectfully,

Mr. Waiting For Next Year Again

Well, it was the ISU coaches who came after the WSU ones in Normal. Mad because they blew a 7 point lead in 40 seconds. I wouldn't count on the ISU instigators to make any headway. I'm sure their whole mantra is to dirty things up, just like last year, with Wilkins throwing cheap shots left and right on Stutz. Now they have one more gun in the holster with Carmichael and his high kick.

I hope Cotton and the other WSU players who watched the film of that game remember the shot to the chest. I hope they also remember what happened in St. Louis last year. I wanted Illinois State. Time to release some payback.

MVC: 1
WCC: 1
Atlantic Ten: 1
MWC: 1
Big East: 1

The Big East is Big Time.

Screw that...I was a damn dog fight.

I want elbows (clean, but hard), hard screens, hard fouls (again clean but hard), etc...

The shocker coaches were jawing with the ISU student section before entering the tunnel.

It looked bad, but anyone who knows Carmichael knows it wasn't intentional. He is as classy as they come and he does that kick on 75% of his rebonds.

ISU out played WSU for 39 minutes, but WSU won. Credit to them, hit some key shots and forced a turnover. That is how the game goes. It was an intense game, emotions are natural. No big deal.

IlSU outplayed WSU for a few minutes in the first half. Take those minutes out, and it was a very close battle between the two teams. Hardly outplaying WSU for 39 minutes.

I want this to be the theme of the day:

I'm glad we got this matchup. I haven't been this excited for an MVC game not featuring CU in perhaps ever. Let's get it on!
