Really nice victory today. Loved the demeanor and the way WSU carried themselves. You could tell they expected to win and I'm sure will feel the same way come Saturday. .

This league has many of those same characteristics they like to spout off about the Big East, playing a tough, hard nosed brand of basketball, very physical, etc. At one point Gottlieb even said that the Shockers were out Pitting Pitt. Congrats to the coach of the year in the league for withstanding the losses from last year's squad and taking this team to a 2nd place conference finish, a tourney birth, and now on to the round of 32.

Go get the Zags.

Pitt looked awful today, and the Shockers finally started hitting....great way to start the competition and great way to represent the MVC! I did hear one announcer finally stop talking about Pitt and actually make some complimentary comments about WSU and the Valley. They (announcers) just held on as long as they could to the idea that Pitt would win...finally had to accept that it wasn't going to happen.
