Great win for CU. Crazy atheticism for Cincinnati BUT Jays found a way to win as usual. And they didn't even play that well. I think they have a shot at upsetting Duke. Think WSU can find a way to win too.

Held on to get the victory, survive and advance. I like this matchup for Creighton, won't be easy, rarely are they ever in March but Duke is certainly beatable.

You may be leaving but might as well do it on a high note and keep advancing.

First off I am so glad we hung on. But IMO we played really bad offensively, if it wasn't for Wragge hitting tough 3 balls we very well might have lost. When we have played well we have had great movement without the ball/passing on offense. Today was the bad version of us on offense.

Don't get me wrong I am thankful we won, just at the same time dissapointed we came out and played that way offensively, we gotta attack and be aggressive....and give it to Greg more. WSU would of beat us tonight, and maybe even UNI. Although, we played good defense.

Going forward, if the Creighton team that plays AGGRESSIVE offense, and moves without the ball/passes it around quickly and decisively and attacks the basket.....if that team shows up on Sunday we have a very good chance to beat Duke. If todays offensive style shows up, we have ZERO chance.

Gibbs had a pretty bad overall game and Jays still won, thanks to Wragge and McD on offense and Ek on both ends. Thot they panicked at very end a time or two and almost blew it. Refs allowed Cincy to play about the most physical ball I've seen any of the tournament teams play these last two days, and Jays survived that too. Unfortunatley, I think Duke will tear Jays a new one if they take the ball to the hole, but Duke doesn't have the same kind of athleticism as Cincy, so don't know how well they can do that. Jays allowed Cincy to penetrate way too easily, get into the lane for easy shots much too often.

Jays got their feet wet and can get back in the pool, hope they come out more relaxed against the Dukies.

I agree with how you put this. I think the result of us not playing as aggressively on offense was partially a result of not being as loose. As a fan i feel a lot more up tight for games like this where we are expected to win, as opposed to when we have nothing to lose (in a sense) like when we play Duke. I imagine teams do also. I feel like we didn't play that well and are lucky to win, but thats the nature of the tourney. Survive and advance. I think the pressure is off for this next game, as we aren't expected to win(many have Duke going all the way). The psychology FOR ONCE this season will be in our favor. And i believe this has more of an impact than people realize.

The guard play for Duke will be a problem for Creighton. Not to mention I think Duke is going to be problem on the inside with Plummlee, and then Kelly to stretch the defense and leaving Plummlee 1 on 1 inside.

It would be cool to see Creighton win, but I think they get crushed. Of course I have thought a Valley team would be crushed by a high rated seed before, and that team ended up winning. So we will have to see.
