Wait a minute, there are 315 teams in college basketball this year that did not get as far the Bluejays did... so I don't think the Jays are a weak "post-season" team... let's see - two straight MVC Tournament Championships, and they have a 2-2 record in the NCAA tournament during this same time frame, with their season ending losses being to the #4 (AP ranking coming into the tournament) North Carolina Tar Heels last season, and #6 Duke this season. I'm not making any excuses, but that game last night would have plenty different if a few of those open shots that the Jays normally make, would have fallen. It was a rough game, but I am proud of the Jays and can't wait to see what the future holds.

Thanks for your support as always zippydeedoodawgs, enjoy your NCAA tournament appearance every 5-10 years from here on out... coming from a fan whose team has such a terrible postseason history as you say .

This being said, I will be rooting on the Shockers from here on out... The cards have fallen in place, and it looks like WSU could make a run next weekend... Go MVC!

Yesterday concluded the most successful 2 year run in the entire history of Creighton basketball. Never before had they reached the NCAA Tournament and won a game in back-to-back years. They have still, however, failed to win consecutive games in the NCAA Tournament at any point in the program's existence.

Mountains vs. Valley, GoShuck? And some VALLEYS next to mountains are getting upset last year as a highly-favored 5-seed when you had a very experienced team of seniors.
I will miss the Valley and will continue to root for all of you in spite of the couple-dozen arsehole fans, mostly from Wichita, that wreck this forum and their own forums and the feel-good of a storied, fun conference with a great conference tourney. At the CU Team hotel on Saturday night in Philly, and at the convention center bar at the boring charity dinner I was attending last Saturday night, Creighton fans cheered wildly for the Shockers and chanted "MVC, MVC!" I would hope that was the case with most of the MVC Fans when we played Duke last night, but I am sure we all can name the jealous folks on this Forum I know were cheering against us and laughing at our shooting slump, who will also be rooting for us to fail in the new Big East.
Regardless, I will be rooting for the Shockers to go all the way in representing our beloved MVC, in spite of the d-bags like Clod and the other other Shockernet idiot fans. Cheers to a great NCAA Tourney for you!

CU fans, I'm curious what your perspective is and would like an evaluation of the game from your viewpoint.

I am sorry, was something in my post factually inaccurate?

Wichita State, Southern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Bradley, Indiana State, Drake and Missouri State have all won consecutive games in the NCAA Tournament at various points.

Creighton has not. It is okay. We forgive you.

Great season for CU. Would have loved to win but it wasn't our night. I actually hope to see WSU make the Final Four so make the Valley proud.

GoShock, And all of those teams you list have also won a MVC Conference Tourney at some point, as well, so another lame point. Your mountain vs. mole hill analogy was stupid, that's all. I hope you have many more successes with your great hoops program going forward, and I wish you luck next weekend, in spite of your fan base's jealous obsession with nitpicking and mocking our very successful hoops program. Who are you going to hate next year? I hope we join you with a Sweet 16 appearance soon, or match your wins you hopefully get NEXT weekend!. I just went and read Shockernet from yesterday, and saw exactly what I expected, a bunch of people rooting against us and laughing at us having our worst shooting performance of the year in a game where we played some good D. I will miss the Valley, but not many of the crazy people at SN or here that are so negative. Yes, I know we have a few of our own, as well, but VERY few.
The Cincy fans and Duke fans on the Bluejay Underground last week/weekend were so fun and classy to exchange with. You should go take a look at their forums, and then you would see how dysfunctional and sad that Shockernet really is, as well as many of the threads you all destroy on this VALLEY fan forum.
Either way, this is my last point on here, and I hope that all of the Valley kicks ass in the future, and that people like you can actually root for our success in a tough new adventure. If not, such is life, and the excitement of new teams and new venues and like-minded schools sooth me and our fan base on a sad Monday morning after a game we could have won.

I almost did not root for WSU because I was afraid that if they won and we lost, some immature db would come on here and be an a$$. Then I thought, no, don't let one 15-year-old ruin it for an entire fanbase. So, go WSU!! Go all the way!

It's alright, I feel for ya. There were many years where WSU was unable to win consecutive games in the NCAA Tournament. It was frustrating. But, sure enough, we have always re-emerged from down periods and roared back to a Final Four, Elite Eight, or Sweet Sixteen. I cannot imagine going 75+ seasons like the Jays have. You guys are the Chicago Cubs of the NCAA Tournament.

Just think, generations of Creighton fans going back to pre-World War II have died in droves waiting for their squad to achieve even mild success in the Big Dance. It is really quite a bummer that CU could not reward so many in the Greatest Generation before most of them have passed on.

I can't speak for any other Shocker fan, but I was rooting hard for CU genuinely last night. We were fortunate to get hot at the right time when the lights were shinning the brightest on Saturday against the number one seed. CU's opportunity was there for the taking last night against your number two seed. It just wasn't in the cards.

Yes, we didn't bring it last year as the ole 5/12 got us, but let me "fact" you up JAY DOG, in two of our last three NCAA tourny appearances we have been to the Sweet 16 TWICE. Rumor has it an Elite 8, or beyond is still a possibility.

Rather than giving us our due for this year's run, you have to hold court and give a mini lecture on our d-bags and idiots. I do appreciate the support from you, as I have for the Jay's, but jump back in your tool box with the rest of the wrenches and screw drivers and we will mail it COD to the new Catholic League.
