I have noticed very little input from November through January's biggest blue blowhard lately. Double Jay Alum must be on a cruise.

ETA: If he does not arrive within 5 minutes to snipe at UNI's football team outta nowhere when a BCS conference says they are scheduling less FBS schools, somebody please call the authorities. I am concerned.

It's kind of similar how history will tell us that Lasalle made the Sweet 16 even though they were an afterthought in the A10 but they are now the last man standing for that league.

This whole thread is splitting hairs. Both teams had great seasons that they should be proud of.

So far, I'd say it is a tie. Creighton gets two games and the conference titles, Wichita States get one extra tournament game and a Sweet 16. If Wichita State keeps winning, then it would be hard to argue against them.

He quit posting after WSU's win over Creighton in Wichita, briefly came back after the CU win in Omaha and the Valley Tournament, but is back to MIA status.

Some posters get stung worse than others. He won't be treated as well on the Big Priest boards.

if WSU makes the elite 8 and/or final 4 then I give the nod to WSU.

It would be nice to see another MVC team make the final 4, we haven't had one since the Sycamores in 1979

I call Bs. You play the regular season for the right to play and compete in the post season.

Ok then Creighton had a better season by your definition.....won regular season and better seed.....

I didn't give a definition - I just said that they are not mutually exclusive. Regular season gives you the opportunity, it what you do with that opportunity in the post-season that ultimately that defines your season.

MVC teams dream of making the Sweet 16, very few do. The results speak for themselves.

The Shockers in my book. Can they go all the way? Is a big crowd headed to LA?

If they make it I think I will head down to Atlanta to watch.

The allotment of 1200 tickets through WSU are almost sold out and expected to sell out. They sure like putting us at cozy, close locations in the regionals. DC in 06, LA in 13. Oh well.

What are flight options out of Des Moines? We could always use a few more!

If only Creighton had won both MVC titles AND beaten a #1 seed to get to the Sweet 16. But that seems pretty far-fetched for an MVC team. Well, at least for one that doesn't play defense.
[Insert snappy comeback]

From someone who knows more about basketball than everyone here combined:
“It was just so difficult to score,” Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “That’s the best defense we’ve played all year. Our guys were really tough. It was just tough to get buckets.”
