Definitely not next year though. You will be an RPI drag next year. But maybe after that if we still offer....sure

Can't play WSU - schedule is already too tough. Might play Drake. I see the BCS mentality has taken over. Might play a lower-ranking mid-major going through a coaching change, but "scheduling problems" prohibit a home-and-home with a top-50 type program.

If the game isn't scheduled, it's been offered. If McDermott turns it down, there may be some references to domestic poultry made.

Holy %&*@

It's starting already. Now we are already chicken to play mighty wsu.

Good luck in your game this week.

Actually that is funny. You are right. After losing everyone you lose it will take a couple years if McDermott can even recruit good enough to compete in that league. We should probably hold off until we see if you can even get a decent RPI for a while first. Thanks for setting me straight

According to your own posters, YES!. "The schedule's already too tough to add WSU to it".

If CU can't put WSU on the schedule next year, when CU has the 3-year-running candidate for national PoY because "the schedule is already too tough", then there's no hope that CU's schedule will be soft enough to add WSU after Dougie graduates and Baker, VanVleet, and Wessel are Jr's.

Looking at the relative recruiting capabilities of Marshall and McDermott (other than recruiting his son), CU's schedule will be "too tough" to add WSU to it forever.

Accusing CU fans of being too cocky is reminiscent of The Department of Redundancy Department Bureau.

Who said it was too tough to add WSU?

I would love to play the Shocks on a yearly basis. Fun rivalry. For the most part, games are tight and intense. But that is all i can say. I think a lot of us pretend we know all of the factors and complications that go into scheduling, when in reality there is probably a lot more to it than we know.

I would be "shocked" if it did happen next year though. Im not sure how many games we have open or WSU, but i would imagine it would be a small number. I am pretty sure CU will take the "guaranteed" win considering our potential record next year.

I think we all know Creighton will never play in Normal again. I bet Wichita fans would love to have Creighton at Koch, but CU has their focus on the Big East now so that feeling might not be mutual.

Here is where I am at. If we start playing sunbelt teams or SWAC teams, I will be pissed. Too many good MVC teams I would rather play, including WSU.

However, CU will only have 2 maybe 3 road games in the non conference season. Every other year Nebraska will take one of those, plus we have existing contracts with St. Joes and a few others. You can't blame us for not getting to your arena very often, and we can't blame you for not wanting to come to Omaha very often. Has nothing to do with fear or cupcakes or anything else. Just logistics.

Hope it works out, but odds are long.
