Drake vs Weber State

On Fox Sports Channel at 8:30 tonight. I'm hopeful that the Bulldogs can stay within 30.

I am guessing I'll be needing this  quite a bit.

Take a page from the Aces. You might be down, but you don't have to be out.

I'd like to wish Drake luck.

The strech I watched last night was honestly some of the worst basketball that I've ever seen. It was like they had no offensive or defensive gameplan.

Hopefully, Phelps was just trying not to tip his handand save his real schemes for today.

LOLOL. That takes me back to Phelps' first season at Drake. He inherited a team that had gone 28-5 the year before and had two returning all-conference players. The offense looked absolutely inept in the two exhibition games. Bulldogs fans were certain that wasn't the "real" offense and that he was just sandbagging so Butler wouldn't know what to expect in the season opener.

Well, the Butler game came and we realized, to our horror and disbelief, that what we had seen was the "real" offense.

You can't compare Evansville to Drake. from everything I have seen Simmons is an excellent coach. His players bust their butts. He came in to a horrible situation at Evansville, but the progra is headed in the right direction.

Phelps came in with two first team all-conference players and immediately destroyed their games. He now has no players left who were coached by Davis, and as a result has no players who have evrer learned how to play above the high school level.

I guarantee the valley won't go 6-0 today. 5-0 might be possible, though.
