HUGE congrats out to WSU's Shockers for a terrific season and a BIG thank you for toting The Valley flag for all the nation to see.....COOL

The Shockers completely had Louisville on the ropes, and as Coach Marshall said The Cardinals were just one play better. What a heck of a season for WSU, and the future looks incedibly good for the program.

Think all The Valley teams went out and represented in the post-season, and that speaks volumes about the quality of MVC play. Every team knows it's a hoops war every night, and that in turn creates some battle-tested teams going out into post-season play.

I know this season that probably alot of Valley fans weren't pleased that the league beat up on each other, but it really paid dividends when those teams took care of business in the post-season.

WSU has proven to all Valley teams that schools in our league can do some serious damage against the more publicized teams from other leagues. It can be done out of The Valley, and now it's time for other schools to take The Shockers lead and start recruiting starters. The MVC loses some very good players this season, but I'm sure our league coaches are on the recruiting trail right now and pointing out to recruits that they'll being playing in a league with Final Four competition.....gotta love it!!

The signing period is just a few days away, and I would think that a ton of recruits can see themselves as future Valley stars that will help their program climb the ranks of college hoops elite.

Once again, congrats to The Wichita State University Shockers!

Sad to see this run end. It was a lot of fun to see a fellow MVC school reach the Final Four and play their hearts on out that stage. This group of Shockers was fun to follow. A great group of kids who played together, never seemed rattled or let the name on the other jersey determine what they felt like they could accomplish. Gregg Marshall can coach, something that I'm sure most WSU fans knew long before the rest of the country.

This is a group that will rightfully be remembered for a long time. I hope Marshall sticks around for a long time because he gets it. You can compete at a high level as a member of this league nationally, testing yourself night in and night out. It's a basketball league first and foremost and just because a fall Saturday on your campus doesn't include I-A football, doesn't mean a thing.

It was a heck of a run, can't wait to see what next season will bring for us all and those familiar battles in January and February that makes us all crabby and cranky before we come together, hoping that our school will be the next to be put in the national spotlight as we make our run at college basketball's biggest prize.

Great, great year for WSU. While in a true sense I can never really root for Wichita State, I was having a really hard time in recent days while rooting for tOSU and Louisville. Even with the MSU/WSU rivalry, I felt some measure of Valley pride watching the Shockers compete very well. Well done. Once in a lifetime type of deal so I hope WSU fans are soaking up every second.

Question:

Why would the Shockers win four games wearing their normal uniforms and then decide to get new uniforms for the semifinal game??? Thats a cardinal sin for sports superstitions. Even Louisville has stuck with those atrocious uniforms they have been using.

The guys who showed up offensively tonight Early, Baker, and Cotton will be back next year. Wow, I'm sure WSU fans will be salivating for the start of the season next year. Hope you guys can pony up a bit of cash for a pay raise for Marshall (dodged a bullet with UCLA as far as I'm concerned mostly because they (UCLA) are clowns and should have put the mad rush on Marshall). Let's see if you can parlay this success into some nice non-con opportunities next year. I'll be following as always. I may be out in left field but Baker reminds me of Korver with obviously much better athleticism. Hope Creighton can get a home and home with you but I figure your phone will be ringing off the hook now.

I do too. Another idea I like would be for CU and WSU to play an annual game in Kansas City. It would be great to see thousands of Jays and Shockers fans meeting in Kansas City annually. I think it would be a plus for both programs to make some inroads into the Kansas City market.

I think that would be an excellent idea for both programs. Pretty much a perfect middle point. Split the gate 50/50 between the two schools and both get a great shot at showcasing themselves in Kansas City. Should be able to get good sponsorship and television coverage.

This should absolutely be done.
