So being the #3 school in Kansas is better than being the #3 school in any other state in the nation. That makes us the NCState of Kansas, which is not something to be ashamed of. Especially now that we are routinely better than KState and even occasionally KU.

when ate you occasionally better than ku? just because they got knocked out of the tournament before you doesn't mean you were better than them.

Care to explain that one?

KSU I'll give you the occasionally/almost routinely.

Ranked higher than KU this year and finished two rounds further in the tournament. Unless they beat us in a head to head game, both of those imply that we were the better team.

Winston Salem is about 120 miles away from Raleigh.

Yeah, if you're extending the criteria to 120 miles away, of course the population looks crazy. That's a huge distance.

More like 93 to Winston...Takes a little over an hour to get to Greensboro. My point was the contiguous population areas that attend games in the triangle area, makes it pretty sizable. As an NC State season ticket holder, many around me were from the Greensboro area.

Center of Raleigh to center of Winston Salem is 120 miles -- to the NC State arena is 97 miles. My point, though, is that if you give colleges everything around them for 100 miles, there aren't many schools in the country that don't have a huge population base. But how relevant are they to people 100 miles away?
