Loyola's Rival?

I don't know a lot about LUC except that they were pretty good in the early 60s.
Seems to me they have an incredible amount of potential with deep pockets.

With whom do you consider will be Loyola's biggest MoVal rival(s)?
It seems to me it will be a team from Illinois, though competitive parity could have something to do with it.
I'll start off with Illinois State since there are a lot of Redbird Alums in Chicago.

Hard to say. There's been some chatter in Evansville today about the old rivalry with Loyola back in the 80s and 90s when both were in the MCC, but I seriously doubt anybody other than the longtime fans and Marty knows anything about that history...

I think you mean Bradley over the last 6 years.

The only reason I could see ISU taking off is because of all our alumni up there adding to the environment at the game, as well as Porter Moser being their coach.

They had a rivalry with Wichita State before and since they'll be playing similarly it makes sense.

I think you mean Bradley over the last 6 years.

Oh, I expect Bradley to be much better than IlSt for the foreseeable future.

Long-term, if Loyola is committed to funding athletics, their history with WSU will likely spark a good rivalry.
