For the CU fans who just can't get enough of WSU basketball, you have a chance to watch Jake White for 2 more years, starting in 2014-15.

My hat is off to you. Very clever post - implying that there might be a Creighton fan - or perhaps a person who's heard of Creighton - in New Orleans.

You almost had me there for just a moment.

Well...I heard he told Coach Marshall he wanted to be "the man" to take the big shots. Gregg reminded him he would not be that guy at Wichita. So he found a place where that is likely to happen.

they do have a pretty good bar scene in NOLA. Theres bound to be a few homeless drunks there.
Our last five are still collectively better than your starting lineup.

You might remember his tip in at the end of the half against Gonzaga. During the season he averaged 11 minutes and 4 points per game. During the Valley tournament he scored 9 against Missouri State, which I believe is the team you cheer for. Not a great player, but undoubtedly gave great effort whenever he was on the court doing all of the small things.

I thought Jake was a pretty good player. Wouldn't have ever been a star but would have been a solid player for WSU this year.

I thought Jake White could have been a better fit for other MVC schools. He was a good system player, athletic enough to fend defend Valley PFs (and even a few centers), and a decent shot. Those type of players have thrived in recent years in the Valley, but they have to be in a system that uses their talents.

Wichita State wasn't that team for Jake White, for a variety of reasons. In that system, he was a garbage man that scored off offensive rebounds and easy baskets, not a guy that had plays called for him. He wasn't bad on defense, but he wasn't nearly the defensive player that Hall or Orukpe were.

In short, I think he could be a good player for UNO. He's a guy with a good mid-range game who lost confidence in his outside shot with his limited minutes and shot attempts. In the right system he could be a completely different player.
